Nathan is an accomplished musician and educator, with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. His journey in the world of music began at the age of 8, and since then, he has immersed himself in various musical endeavors with unwavering passion and dedication. While attending UNLV, he studied under renowned pianist Timothy Hoft.
Nathan has been actively involved in teaching since 2020. For 4 years, he focused primarily on teaching private piano lessons to Las Vegas communities. As an experienced high school band teacher, he has also taught saxophone, trumpet, baritone horn, euphonium, flute, clarinet, percussion, music theory, and trombone. Living in New York City for two years, he gained experience teaching both band and piano in the heart of the city's musical scene.
Throughout his career, Nathan has accumulated extensive performance experience, ranging from accompanying choirs of all grade levels to collaborating with singers and instrumentalists. His solo performances showcase his virtuosity and deep connection to the music he performs. His musical talents extend beyond the piano, encompassing percussion, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, and trombone. Nathan's versatility allows him to impart a comprehensive understanding of music to his students, enriching their musical journeys.
Central to Nathan's teaching philosophy is the belief that piano playing transcends mere musical skill; it enriches essential life skills such as consistency, confidence, and self-motivation. He approaches teaching with a holistic mindset, recognizing the profound impact music can have on shaping individuals beyond the confines of the piano bench. Nathan is currently pursuing his Master of Music in K-12 Music Education at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
