Calogero “Chazz” Miceli was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV where he started playing guitar at the age of 11. He has been teaching students guitar, bass, ukulele, piano, and music theory since 2014 and is fluent in all styles of music with his focus in classical and baroque studies. He has been acclaimed by students, parents, and teachers for being patient and supportive through his detailed approach to technique, musicality, and artistry.


He attended the Las Vegas Academy of the Performing Arts for his high school education as a guitar major. In 2015, Chazz moved to Oklahoma City, OK where he achieved the degrees of Bachelor of Music in 2019 and Master of Music in 2021 from Oklahoma City University. Based in Las Vegas, he is currently enrolled at the University of North Texas as a Doctoral of Musical Arts candidate in guitar performance. He is involved in the early music department at UNT where he has played baroque instruments like lute, theorbo, and baroque guitar with the early music ensemble.


Chazz has competed in several guitar competitions throughout his pre-collegiate and collegiate years, winning the All-State Guitar Competition in Las Vegas in 2013 and 2014. Most recently he was awarded 4th place in the 2022 University of Texas at Dallas annual international guitar competition. Chazz has enjoyed performing in multiple live bands spanning from punk, metal, ska, pop, reggae, jazz, and experimental music.
