Asha Brooke

With over 10 years of experience as a professional singer, voice and piano teacher, Asha Brooke brings extensive expertise to her teaching practice. Classically trained, she performs across multiple genres including opera, R&B, musical theater, and pop. She holds a Master's Degree in both Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Houston, one of the leading institutions in her field. Asha specializes in a time-tested technique that she passes on to her students to ensure healthy, sustainable singing, and because of her opera career, she sings in over 15 languages.

Her encouraging and student-centered approach encompasses all styles of singing and piano playing. She personalizes each student's lesson time by incorporating additional components such as audition preparation, sight-singing, music history, music theory, piano, song writing, and performance readiness.

Asha’s students have gained admission to prestigious college vocal programs such as Westminster College, BYU, University of Houston, the Music Academy of the West, and more.  Her students have also been cast in many leading roles and solos on stages across the nation, including Christine from The Phantom of the Opera, Maria from Westside Story, Beetlejuice in Beetlejuice, and more. In addition to maintaining her private voice studio, she serves as a music professor while continuing her career as a professional singer.

Asha’s passion for teaching is evident in her approach to instruction, where she makes the learning process engaging and enjoyable for each student. Recognizing that everyone has a different learning style, she takes time to develop the perfect method for each individual. Her extensive performance experience enables her to teach a wide range of repertoire while providing students with the classical foundation necessary for vocal health and longevity. She prioritizes each student's interests and goals, working collaboratively to help them achieve their aspirations and find a deeper love for music and performance.
