Anna Reynolds

Anna Reynolds grew up in Niagara Falls, NY where she began playing the clarinet at the age of eight. Her first training of note was at LaSalle Senior High School in Niagara Falls NY, where added saxophone and flute to her repertoire. She studied under award winning jazz saxophonist Jack Prybylski as a member of the school's performance ensembles, which include Jazz Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and Marching Band. She was also Drum Major of the Marching Band. She graduated from LaSalle Senior High School as the class valedictorian in 1998.
Anna specializes in teaching clarinet, piano, saxophone, flute and piccolo. Her education continued at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY where she earned a bachelors degree in Mathematics/Education with a minor in music performance, as well as a masters degree in special education. It was at Canisius College, where she continued her musical training, taking lessons from renowned musician David Schiavone. She also performed with the award winning Canisius College Jazz Ensemble for seven years under the direction of Peter Ciraolo, where she was fortunate enough to share the stage with famous musicians such as saxophonist extraordinaire, Don “Red” Menza. Anna is not only a musician, but an accomplished educator who has been working in education since 2001.
Anna plays most woodwind instruments in addition piano, and has had the opportunity to participate in various musical ensembles. She has performed with a variety of acts in Western New York area in the past, such as the Ladies First Big Band, as well as her own bands. She has also performed with large ensembles in Las Vegas such as The Desert Winds, and is currently performing with several bands in the Las Vegas area as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. Anna enjoys performing various styles including classical, jazz, rock, R&B, funk, and any other styles that may come her way. She looks forward to continue performing for audiences everywhere and hopes to continue educating students for years to come.
