Andreea Cretu

Andreea Cretu is a lyric soprano and pianist currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Though voice is her main instrument, Andreea particularly enjoys teaching piano to students of all ages. As an educator, Andreea is passionate about shaping her students into well-rounded musicians with both technical skill and emotional depth—all while keeping lessons engaging and fun!

Her bright and bubbly personality makes learning an enjoyable experience, especially for young students, who will feel encouraged to express themselves and explore the joy that music can bring. She firmly believes that building a strong foundational understanding of piano and voice empowers students to confidently explore diverse musical genres. Beyond technical proficiency, Andreea strives to instill in her students a deep love and appreciation for music that can enrich their everyday lives.

As a pianist, she trained under Chris Hansen, where she developed a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary piano repertoire. As a vocalist, Andreea made her operatic debut with UNLV Opera Theater in 2022 as Don Ettore in Haydn’s La Canterina and soon after performed as Jenny in Robert Ward’s Roman Fever. Most recently in March of 2025, she performed as Dora in Lori Laitman’s The Three Feathers. In addition to performing, she has worked with a number of legendary opera singers over the years, including Denyce Graves, Angel Blue, and Dolora Zajick.

Andreea also has a background as a choral singer, having been a part of the UNLV Choir program, as well as the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts choirs. Andreea considers herself a lifelong student and currently studies classical voice under Dr. Monica McCullough.
